United Way of South Central MA (UWSCM) has once again been granted summer funding for After School and Out of School Time (ASOST) programs. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has awarded $1,000,000 to the United Ways of Central, North Central, and South Central MA. This funding will be used to subgrant After School and Out of School Time Programs during the Summer of 2024. The goal is to support ASOST programs by strengthening the quality of and increasing access to learning and enrichment programming that improve academic, college and career readiness, and social-emotional outcomes for youth. Our portion of the grant is approximately $95,000. Programs are to serve students in Charlton, Dudley, Southbridge, Sturbridge and Webster. It is recommended that all applicants attend one of the virtual office hours to learn of this year’s criteria for the grants.
