United Way of South Central Massachusetts, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin McCarthy as its new Executive Director. McCarthy stepped into her new role on December 16th, succeeding Mary O’Coin, who recently retired.
With a background in the non-profit sector, McCarthy brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the organization. She previously worked for 17 years at Tri-Valley, Inc., most recently as the Nutrition Program Director, a position she held for the last eight years.
In the role of Executive Director, McCarthy will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the financial health of the organization, and driving fund-raising and grantmaking initiatives that align with United Way’s mission of supporting local agencies that provide healthy community, financial security, youth opportunity, and community resiliency services that profoundly affect the lives of those who live and work in the communities it serves.
